Polaris Ranger Headlight Bulb: Bright, Plug-and-Play LED Upgrade Guide
Built for riders, by riders. Here’s how to get real trail-ready light on your Ranger.
Why upgrade your Polaris Ranger headlight bulb?
- See farther, earlier: Crisp white LED light helps you spot trail hazards and signage sooner.
- Lower draw, higher output: Quality LEDs deliver more usable light while drawing less power than halogen.
- Rugged & reliable: Our High Power Series is designed for powersports abuse and backed by a lifetime warranty.
Quick fitment checklist (read this first)
- Confirm bulb type by model/year. Polaris Ranger platforms commonly use automotive-style bases (e.g., H13, H11, 9005/9006, H4), but it varies by trim and year. If you’re unsure, snap a photo of your OEM bulb and connector.
- Check housing access & space. Verify there’s room behind the dust cap for the LED heat sink/fan.
- Plan the install. Wear nitrile or latex gloves during installation to keep optics clean (our standard safety practice).

Recommended: LEDPowersport™ High Power Series
For most Rangers, our go-to pick is the High Power Series LED kit — bright, focused, and built specifically for powersports. It’s a true plug-and-play bulb upgrade with clean, white output (no blue tint) for night riding.

Install overview (typical Ranger housing)
- Open the hood or front access panel and unplug the OEM headlight connector.
- Remove the factory halogen bulb (twist counter-clockwise).
- Insert the LED bulb, align the tabs, and twist to lock. (If your kit includes a locking collar, remove the collar first, seat it in the housing, then insert and twist-lock the LED into the collar.)
- Connect the LED driver to the factory plug. Secure wiring away from moving parts or heat.
- Test low/high beam, then re-install dust caps and panels. Aim your lights to avoid glare.
Tip: If a bulb doesn’t light on first try, flip the plug 180° at the connector (polarity).
When should you consider “standard” vs “high power” LEDs?
If you ride primarily at low speeds on private property, a standard output can work. For trail, ranch, plowing, or backroad use, the High Power Series gives you the punch and beam control you’ll appreciate at night.
